Description

Designed for small and medium-size businesses, MandrakeLinux ProSuiteEdition 8.0 will scale easily for enterprise deployment, and provides astable and secure solution for both servers and workstations. It comes withextended enterprise support, comprising 60 days of phone support and 90 days of Web support via MandrakeExpert. It includes the full version of IBM ViaVoicevoice recognition software and StarOffice 5.2, an integrated officesolution for creating Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, andmore. DrakX installer is a user-friendly graphical installation tool thatallows for multiple configuration choices and disk partitioning, and hasbuilt-in hardware detection. The suite is based on kernel 2.4.2, comes witha fully compatible RPM manager (RPM 4.0), Xfree86 4.0.3, and a unifiedconfiguration tool. Also included are new user interfaces with KDE 2.1.1and Gnome 1.4 pre for 8.0 Beta 2, as well as a variety of 2-D and 3-D games.
