Upgrade your Clarion VX401 or VZ401 receiver with a full navigation system with this simple “black box” add-on.
For Clarion's in-dash multimedia models, the VX401 and VZ401, adding navigation is a breeze. Simply connect the NP401 flash memory navigation system, and you'll have a premium navigators with high-resolution 3D map information and 12 million POIs. The NP401 hide-away navigation system can be connected to the VX401 directly and controlled through its touch panel. So with this multimedia station, you can upgrade to a car navigation system at any time. Count on voice guidance messages and high-resolution map displays to get you safely to your destination.
Since the VX401and VZ401 both feature large touchscreen displays, you get full touchscreen control of the navigation system directly from your receiver's display. View 2D and 3D maps in full color, input destinations or search POIs with ease, and control all unit features with simple touchscreen taps.
The NP401 contains a built-in car navigation system with simple destination input, turn-by-turn voice prompts, text-to-speech with spoken street names, selectable route guidance–everything you need to reach your destination quickly and efficiently. Pre-loaded with 12 million Points of Interest, its database includes national parks, restaurants, gas stations, and much more.
Map coverage is provided for the 50 U.S. states, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The map data is easily upgradeable via a simple Micro SD card slot, and voice prompts are available in English, French, or Spanish.
Clarion Mobile Maps can be viewed in both 2D/3D modes, as with most modern GPS devices. Similarly to the paper road maps, the 2D mode of digital maps show you streets, roads, and elevation is also shown by colors. In 3D mode, you can see the altitude differences, for example valleys and mountains, elevated roads, and in selected cities 3D landmarks and 3D buildings are also displayed.
You can use digital maps interactively: you can zoom in and out (increase or decrease the scale), tilt them up and down, and rotate them left and right, all made easy with touchscreen control.
