In version 2010, brand new ZIP engine features multicore optimizations that lead up to 4x speed improvement compared to competitors and enable you to use full potential of your PC. PowerArchiver has excellent support for ZIP format that includes full support for WinZip 11/12 ZIPX archives (only utility to fully support it), AES encryption, unlimited file size/number of files as well as unicode support. PowerArchiver also has extensive support for other formats, such as RAR (up to 30% faster extraction than competition), 7-zip (upcoming open source format which is fully supported), CAB, TAR, GZIP, BZ2, ISO and many others.

PowerArchiver 2010 supports all Windows operating systems, from Windows 98 to latest Vista and Windows 7, both 32bit and 64bit versions. It has excellent support for Windows 7 with unique features such as jumplists, taskbar progress bar and taskbar icon overlays.

Other notable features include fully integrated shell extensions, preview window where you can preview files, pictures, and archives without extracting them first and even, optional, modern ribbon interface. PowerArchiver 2010 comes with PACL (command line standalone application), free of charge.
