AN ENHANCED MP3 CD Audio Book Of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland By Lewis Carroll by The Houseshop
DescriptionOn the 4th of July 1862, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson told the story of “Alice's' Adventures Underground” to Alice Liddell and her two sisters on a boating trip down the river Isis which runs through the town of Oxford. He based the central character on Alice herself, and wove into the story many of the places and things, which they'd seen on their outings in Oxford. Alice asked him to write it down, and the story became “Alice's' Adventures Underground”, then “Alice's' Adventures in Wonderland”. The title is often shortened to “Alice In Wonderland”. As with the follow-up, “Through the Looking Glass”, Charles Dodgson adopted the pen name “Lewis Carroll”' I had sent my heroine straight down a rabbit-hole without the least idea what was to happen afterwards,' wrote Dodgson, describing how Alice was conjured up one 'golden afternoon' in 1862 to entertain his child-friend Alice Liddell. In the nonsensical Wonderland and the back-to-front Looking-Glass kingdom, order is turned upside-down: a baby turns into a pig; time is abandoned at a tea party; and a chaotic game of chess makes a 7-year-old a Queen. Our enhanced Audio CD's have been designed to take extra content where applicable, so that you can print pages off as required. Ideal for course work, lectures, research, read while you listen and many more ideas. Product Features
